More lost songs

These ones was recorded for a 7" but it never came out. I was asked to write about the sea or something and I loosely used an old legend of the "red stone", a mythical stone by the shore of Gothenburg. I usually take walks down there and I like this place alot...

Elephant Micah

Joe O'Connell – aka Elephant Micah is a guy I met on my US tour. He makes the most beatiful lo-fi music and I can never stop listening to it. This is another half assed attempt at a cover song. "Be my bright light". Same ol' "newspaper drum".

Damien Jurado

Now, Damien Jurado is one of my favourite songwriters. I recorded a half assed version of his brilliant song Omaha some years ago. It's not half as good as the original. Anyways I kinda like it. I play drums on a newspaper by the way :)

Never done this

Glen Gilbert is my main cat, my guitarist since 2003... He wrote just a few songs for Racingpaperplanes. I've been begging him to write more but he didn't wanna "step on my turf"... Well, here's one song that was supposed to be on "Self Sleep Service" but it fell off the last second. Glen wrote it, it's beautiful but maybe we didn't get the right version down on tape... Well here you go, go, go.

edit: (I found a neat live version of the song from when we opened for Rosie Thomas. Putting that up too.)

New light on old songs

I found this old recording out of happenstance, and I had completely forgotten about its existense. I thought I'd share it with you. It's three songs live in the studio before recording my first album. Witness (later recorded with Kalle and Martin from The Soundtrack of our lives), Evening stars and Wave. I think this is me, Tomas Adolfsson. Per Erik "Lillen" Tagesson and Peter Johansson. Enjoy!
